Michael has learned from the masters,

his hands having traced the entire surfaces of some of the world’s greatest sculptures: masterpieces by Rodin, Bernini, Donatello, Michelangelo, Canova. In Florence, he scaled scaffolding to study every inch of the 16-foot David. “The veins are almost overly accentuated and the muscles so defined-Michelangelo stops just short of making them distorted,” says Michael, his hands shaping the memory like clay.
