to maintain the superhuman image many people have of him, can also feel oppressive. “I don’t feel I’m allowed to have a bad day.” He’s now trying to divest himself of the inspirational image he helped create, but worries that starting down the unfamiliar slope of being completely honest, admitting weakness, and even asking for help, could become dangerously slippery. “We’re attracted to people who do things well and are independent, and we’re often repelled by people who constantly need our assistance. So it’s a really fine line.”
